Chelsey Lichtman is a Toronto based cultural producer and creative
activist working predominantly in performance, photography and video.
Her practice mixes camp with a radical feminist and queer politic, and pays
particular attention to documenting the subtleties of the every day. She is
the co-founder of the fat activist and performance duo the Fat Femme Mafia,
and the host , producer and curator of Granny Boots, the progressive queer
entertainment evening held every week at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.
Since 2000, Chelsey has been performing and facilitating workshops on a
variety of issues pertaining to body politics and fat activism. She has
presented and exhibited her video and photo work across North America and
Europe. Chelsey's photo series, All About Her: versions of the woman exposed,
was recently featured at the Robert Watson Gallery in Toronto.
